Byers Lane (C71) South Godstone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 31 May 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Byers Lane (C71) South Godstone as extends from its junction with (A22) Eastbourne Road to its junction with (C71) Whitewood Lane and; b) suspend "The Surrey County Council Byers Lane (C71) South Godstone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023" in its entirety.
Alternative Route: (A22) Eastbourne Road, West Park Road, Bone Lane, Croydon Barn Lane, Church Road and Whitewood Lane or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to carry out overhead structural works by or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be completed over 1 day, between 9.30am and 3.30pm during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 June 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times via the operatives on site, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
