Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 12 April 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brook Road (C31) Godalming as extents from its south-eastern junction with (D151) Church Lane to its junction with (D152) Bannacle Hill Road.

Alternative Route- Haslemere Road, Church Lane, (A283) Petworth Road, Culmer Hill, Petworth Road and Brook Road or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate removal of trees to prevent network low outage works for or on behalf of SSE. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 9.30am and 3pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 May 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times via the operative on site, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
