Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 17 May 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brook Hill (D194) Albury that is crossed by the level crossing known as "Brook Level Crossing" and for a distance of 30 metres on either side.

This Order is required to facilitate North Downs Line Commissioning works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this Notice. These works are anticipated to take place on 11 June 2023 for 1 day and 1 night between the hours of 8am and 6am and on 14 November 2023 for 5 days between the hours of 1pm and 6am within the 18 month period of operation of this temporary Traffic Order which commences on 11 June 2023.

Alternative Route – Brook Hill, Park Road, Little London, Brook Lane, and Brook Hill or this route in reverse.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times to premises within the affected length of road. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained via the operatives on site.
