Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 21 June 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Broadhurst Gardens (D1301) Reigate.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new water connection works for or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 July 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Road plates to be added out of hours. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period.
