Brickhouse Lane (D373) Lingfield and Church Lane (C72) Godstone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;
(a) Brickhouse Lane (D373) Lingfield as extends from its junction with (D372) Croydon Barn Lane to its junction with (D374) Hare Lane.
Alternative Route: Croydon Barn Lane, Bones Lane, and Brickhouse Lane; and
(b) that length of Church Lane (C72) Godstone as extends from its junction with (B2236) Eastbourne Road to its junction with the access to the property known as "The Old Pack House".
Alternative Route: Church Lane, (A25) Oxted Road, (A22) Godstone By-pass, and (B2236) Eastbourne Road.
This Order is required to carry out strengthening/ improving bridge works by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 October 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closures, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion routes. No sole access will be affected by these closures.
