Looking forward to a SMASHing summer of activities

Surrey Arts' summer music activities, SMASH (Surrey Music and Arts in the Summer Holidays), will be back again in July. There is an exciting programme for 8 to 16 year olds taking place in four locations across the county from Monday 24 to Thursday 27 July.

The week of activities will see the return of popular workshops such as The Band Experience for those wanting to be part of a rock band and Cre8tive sounds for music production and DJing.

There will also be new activities such as: Strings in Action, a strings ensemble for violin, viola, cello and double bass players; Come Together to come and play any instrument with other young musicians; Song writing workshop learning the structure of writing and producing songs; The Drum Project to come and experience the world of drums and percussion and a Pop Songs and Musicals singing workshop.

  • Monday 24 July at Hazelwood School, Limpsfield, Oxted

  • Tuesday 25 July at ACM, Guildford

  • Wednesday 26 July at The Malthouse, Dorking
    Cre8tive Sounds: DJ and Music Production and Song Factory
  • Thursday 27 July at Strodes College, Egham
    The Band Experience, Cre8tive Sounds: DJ and Music Production, The Drum Project, Pop Songs and Musicals

Surrey Arts are looking forward to a fun and creative week of activities giving young people unique and new musical experiences.
