About the Homes for Ukraine temporary bus pass for Ukrainian nationals

To read this page in Ukrainian, please see Google Translate: Підтримка громадян України

Surrey County Council has worked with bus companies in Surrey to set up a scheme offering Homes for Ukraine nationals a bus pass to give them free travel on their most used bus route.

Our new extended offer is for temporary bus passes which are valid for one chosen bus company. The bus pass scheme will continue until 31 March 2025.

For Ukrainian nationals who have already had a Homes for Ukraine temporary bus pass, you may be eligible for a further bus pass valid until 31 March 2025. You will need to reapply when your current bus pass runs out, at which point you will be issued a new bus pass for up to six months, depending on what is offered by your chosen bus operator. When this pass runs out you can reapply to get a free bus pass valid until 31 March 2025.

Each person aged 5 years and over who are intending to travel by bus will need to show their individual bus pass. Children under 5 years don't need their own bus pass.

The Homes for Ukraine temporary bus pass is free of charge and users will simply be able to show their pass to the driver or tap on the ticket machine when boarding the bus from their chosen route, to enable them to travel whilst they settle into their new lives.

Listed below are the bus companies currently offering the Homes for Ukraine temporary bus pass on their routes. Once issued, the bus pass can be used Monday to Sunday on the routes offered by the chosen bus company only. We are hoping that more bus companies will offer the scheme soon.
