Safeguarding statement

At Surrey Virtual School the health, safety and wellbeing of every child is our top priority. We expect all staff and governors to share this commitment to safeguarding our pupils and promoting their wellbeing.

Surrey Virtual School is committed to ensuring safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice. All school staff have received training in child protection and are aware of the procedure for passing on welfare concerns.

  • The UK Safer Internet Centre has online safety tips, advice and resources to help children and young people stay safe online
  • Internet Matters have created information pages that will help you to learn about, talk about and deal with the top e-safety issues that children may face, including practical advice on what you can do and links to organisations that can provide additional help and guidance
