End of year learners' exhibition 2018

For the ninth consecutive year, the Surrey Adult Learning Learners' Annual Exhibition took place in the Guildford Harvey Gallery. Once again the quality and variety of the work submitted for this exhibition was astonishing. The work displayed was from learners at all stages of their learning journey: from complete beginners to more experienced; exhibits are from individual learners as well as the result of collaborative group projects.

Our thanks go to Councillor Mary Lewis who presented the certificates and prizes to exhibition winners at the well-received preview evening on 19 June. In her speech, Mary recognised the contribution that adult learning makes to Surrey residents – enriching lives, enabling adults to explore their creativity, learn new skills and make progress through regular course attendance and by receiving quality teaching.

A special thanks was given to all the learners who submitted their work and their tutors as well as to the staff who contributed so much to make the exhibition a success.

Surrey Adult Learning Photography Competition

The winners of our fourth annual Surrey Adult Learning (SAL) Open Photography Competition were also on display at the exhibition. The shortlisted images were posted to the SAL Facebook page and the winners and runners up were then chosen by popular vote.
