New adult learning courses live now

Surrey Adult Learning (SAL) offers hundreds of courses and workshops for adults of all abilities.

You could learn a language, pick up an art or craft class, gain a new skill for work, or enjoy some healthy living classes with yoga, tai chi or Pilates.

Taught by highly trained specialists you can prepare for your future with classes starting from January through until mid march.

Enrolments are on a first-come, first-served basis and close at least 3 working days prior to the course start date. Online enrolment is available for most of the courses and is the quickest way to enrol.

Courses and workshops run weekdays and Saturdays starting from 9 January, so enrol now on the Surrey Adult Learning web page.

Learn a new language

2023 is a great time to start a new language or return to an old one. You can learn online from home, or face-to-face and SAL offer beginners classes to stages 1 to 7.

With 12 languages to choose from you could even learn Spanish in your lunchbreak. Choose from Ancient Greek, Arabic, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, or Turkish.

Get artistic

Enjoy the well-being benefits gained through arts and craft classes. Create something beautiful and learn a new hobby with a range of classes.

Classes include acrylic painting, creative writing, art appreciation, bookbinding, calligraphy, clock repair, drawing, hand embroidery, painting, flower arranging, glass fusing, jewellery and silverwork, just to name a few.

Look after your mind

Winter can be a challenging time to keep your mind active and body well, there are a variety of courses that can help including cookery, dance, exercise, and mindfulness courses.
