Welcome to the Summer term edition of the Learner Voice, which is a dedicated place for our community to share their news, updates, and achievements. It's the end of another academic year once again, and time really does fly when you are busy taking on new challenges and enjoying learning. In this edition we celebrate the achievements of our community, tutors, volunteers and, of course, our learners.

Learning something new is exciting and at SAL our comprehensive selection of courses has something for everyone to reach their personal goals in an inspiring learning environment. We have designed new courses to add to our broad curriculum, starting next term, including vocational pathways and specialised courses to help you upskill or secure the job you want, get into teaching, develop confidence with technology, brush up your French grammar or stimulate your grey matter and sharpen your reasoning skills by learning the basics on our brand-new chess courses!

New for 2023/24 includes 'Eat and Cook' workshops that bring additional nutritional knowledge into the cookery room by combining theory and practical skill. The new get 'Strong for Longer' is a collection of dedicated strength and balance courses specifically designed for older adults and those looking to rehabilitate their muscle strength, live well and protect your future health.

Why not try something new at the beginning of the academic year 2023/24?

We are looking forward to accompanying you on your learning journey and our qualified tutors are here to provide valuable knowledge and skills to help you succeed!

We would like to like wish everybody an enjoyable summer break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to autumn term classes that resume from Monday, 11 September 2023.
