Awareness weeks
Supported Lodgings Awareness Week takes place in September and is a great time to learn more about fostering and show your support. Our next Awareness Week runs from Sunday 8 to Saturday 14 November 2026, shining a light on the role of Supported Lodgings providers in helping young people aged 16–21 prepare for independent adult life.
This is a time to highlight the importance of offering guidance, a safe place to stay, and emotional support to young people as they make the transition out of care or face housing challenges.

Our Fostering Winter Ball in 2026 was a heartfelt celebration of the incredible carers who open their homes to children in need. This special evening brings together foster families for a night of recognition, connection, and joy, highlighting the extraordinary commitment of those who have dedicated years to caring for Surrey’s most vulnerable children.
At the Winter Ball, we honour long-service foster carers, presenting awards to those who have reached milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, and even 50 years of fostering! These carers have changed countless lives, and your sponsorship helps us give them the appreciation they truly deserve.
