Starting Secondary school in September 2027
If your child will reach the age of 11 between 1 September 2026 and 31 August 2027, they will be due to start secondary school in September 2027.
Applications for a secondary school place opened on 1 September 2026.
The closing date for on-time applications for secondary schools is 31 October 2026.

There is a different application process if you are:
- applying for a school place for a child with an Education Health and Care (EHC) plan.
- applying for an in-year admission - your child has already started school but needs to change schools or you have moved to the area outside the normal admission round.
- if you are a late applicant - applying after the closing date.
- If you wish to apply for a place in a Surrey sixth form.
