The reasons why we use your personal data
This Privacy Notice applies to the functions of the Surrey Enhanced Partnership (EP) and the Stakeholder Reference Group (SRG).
The EP is the legal mechanism by which Surrey County Council and bus operators can make changes to bus services and infrastructure to encourage more people to use buses more and more frequently.
What processing of personal data is undertaken by the service
Your personal data is collated for the purposes of maintaining the contact list for people who have expressed an interest in being part of the SRG or want to receive information about the EP.
The SRG plays a role in providing insights and suggestions on behalf of bus users, as well as playing a "critical friend" role in the EP governance arrangements.
What Information do we collect?
The information being collected is:
- Full name
- Email address
- Job role / title
- Telephone number
- Opinions and expressions
How we are allowed to use your personal data
Transport Act 2000 under section 138(f)
Consent
To process your personal data, we will explain to you what we are asking you to agree to and why. If we have consent to use your personal data, you have the right to remove it at any time. If you want to remove your consent, please contact us at the following email address passenger.transport@surreycc.gov.uk and we will deal with your request.
Who we share your personal data with
Opinions and expressions may be shared with bus operators, at an anonymised level.
Retention of data
Anonymised opinions and expressions will be retained for the life of the Enhanced Partnership.
Each year, in line with the review of the Enhanced Partnership Scheme, members of the Enhanced Partnership Stakeholder Reference Group will be asked if they want to remain a member of the group or be kept informed of proceeding. This is to ensure we have up to date contact details and are not sending information to people unnecessarily.
