Knowing our communities

We want to improve fairness for everyone while ensuring that we meet the needs of our most vulnerable residents. This means that we will respect people's differences and design our services to help people to get the best out of life. In order to help us achieve this goal we collect and analyse information about our communities and the outcomes our residents achieve. We use this information to understand where need is greatest which allows us to respond in a fair way.

Information about our residents and the impact our public services are having on their lives is published on Surrey-i, the county's local information system. This is a living resource and additional information will be added as it becomes available. This will include more information about people with each of the protected characteristics defined in the Equality Act, therefore providing a fuller picture of our communities.
