There are many reasons why a child or young person can’t be with their birth family but by fostering them you can help them stay in their community and school, close to their family and friends.

We need foster carers to help this happen. In Surrey over 830 children are in care, and of these around 80% are in foster care. Watch this short film about a Surrey foster carer.

If you could help change a child or young person’s life, have a spare room and are considering fostering please contact us.

We can:

Are you already a foster carer with an independent fostering agency (IFA)?

When children come into the care of the local authority, we will look for the placement that best meets their needs. Unless it is unsafe to do so, we will always try to place the child close to their family, friends and to their school. We ensure that all our resources go to the care of the children and their foster carers. Why not come along to an open evening and hear one of our foster carers and fostered young people talk about what it's like to foster with us? If you are interested in joining us, call us on 08000 969626 or email and read our transfer protocol. You can also read our Ofsted report on our fostering services.
