Various Roads in the Borough of Elmbridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.6) 2023
On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of the Act the effect of which will be to:
(1) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads described in the Schedule to this Notice and
(2) Suspend "The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Oxshott, Cobham, and Leatherhead (Experimental Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 2023 insofar as it affects the roads specified and described in the schedule.
This Order is required to facilitate highways improvements, carriageway surfacing, and/or maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

(2) (A3050) Oatlands Drive, (A317) Queens Road, (B265) Ashley Road, (A244) Ashley Road, and (A244) New Zealand Avenue.
(v) the entire length of Woodlands Lane (A245) Stoke D'Abernon.
