Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 27 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of The Avenue (D3517) Camberley.

Alternative Route: (1) (A30) London Road and (B3411) Frimley Road; and (2) (B3411) Frimley Road, (D3532) Park Road, (D3528) Heathcote Road, (D3512) High Street, (D3511) Portesbery Road, (D3512) Knoll Road, and (A30) London Road.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 phases for a period of 19 weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 March 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via road plates if necessary. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
