South Street (A25) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023

On 06 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of South Street (A25) Dorking as extends from its junction with (D2839) Junction Road to its junction with (X2848) Norfolk Road.

Alternative Route: (A25) High Street, (A25) Reigate Road, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, (A2003) Flint Hill, (A2003) Horsham Road, and (A25) South Street.

This Order is required to facilitate sewer cover replacement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night between the hours of 7pm and 11pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 September 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians. All other traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.
