Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 28 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;

(a) Partridge Mead (D1006) Banstead as extends from its junction with (D1006) Parkwood Road to its junction with (D1004) Parsonsfield Road.

Alternative Route: Partridge Mead, Nork Way, and Roundwood Way, or this route in reverse; and

(b) Parkwood Road (D1006) Banstead as extends from its junction with (D1006) Partridge Mead to its junction with (D1006) Parkwood Close.

Alternative Route: Parkwood View, Nork Way, and Partridge Mead, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate highways/ footways safety improvement works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 18- month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 March 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
