Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the eastbound carriageway of Maple Road (D1291) Redhill as extends from its junction with (X9390) Access from properties No.43 to No.46 Maple Road to its junction with (A23) Horley Road.

Alternative Route: Maple Road, (A2044) Woodhatch Road, and (A23) Horley Road.

This Order is required to carry out installation of new high voltage cable works by, or on behalf of ALS Civil Engineers. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 weeks, between 8am and 6pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 September 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
