Longdene Road (D5523) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 9 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Longdene Road (D5523) Haslemere as extends from a point in line with the south western boundary of No.46 Longdene Road also known as "Dial House" to a point in line with the north eastern boundary of No.30 Longdene Road. Alternative Routes – (i) Longdene Road; Lower Street; A286 Lower Street/High Street/Lower Street (following one way system); A286 Shepherds Hill; Courts Hill Road; and Longdene road. (ii) Longdene Road; Courts Hill Road; A286 Shepherds Hill; B2131 Lower Street; and Longdene Road; and
(b) Suspend "The Surrey County Council Longdene Road (D5523) Haslemer Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022" insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) to this Notice.
The Order is required to facilitate mains sewer repair works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Sapphire Utility Solutions within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 21 August 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. All other traffic should use the signed diversion route.
