London Road (A30) Bagshot
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 29 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of London Road (A30) Bagshot as extends from its junction at the roundabout with (A322) Grove End to its junction with (B3015) The Maultway.
Alternative Route: a) Westbound- (B3015) The Maultway, (B311) Red Road, (A322) Gordon School Roundabout, Lightwater By-pass, Bagshot By-pass, and (A30) London Road and; b) Eastbound- (A30) London Road, (A322) Grove End, Bagshot By-pass, Lightwater By-pass, Gordon School Roundabout, (B311) Red Road, (B3015) The Maultway, and (A30) London Road.
This Order is required to facilitate carriageway works and/or resurfacing works and/or utility maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 12 September 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.
