Littleton Road (C233) Ashford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 14 June 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Littleton Road (C233) Ashford as extends from its junction with (A308) Staines Road West to its junction with (D6259) Rowland Way.
Alternative Route: Westbound:- (A308) Staines Road West, Ashford Road, and Littleton Road; From Chertsey Road:- (A308) Staines Road West, Ashford Road, and Littleton Road; Eastbound:- Chertsey Road, Feltham Hill Road, School Road, Ashford Road, and Littleton Road; From Littleton Road:- Littleton Road, Ashford Road, and (A308) Staines Road West or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate highways improvement and/or maintenance works by or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within 6 months of this 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 July 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
