Grayswood Road (A286) Grayswood and Haslemere Road (A286) Brook
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;
(a) Grayswood Road (A286) Grayswood as extends from its junction with (D154) Lower Road to its junction with (A286) Haslemere Road; and
(b) Haslemere Road (A286) Brook as extends from its junction with (A286) Grayswood Road to its junction with (D137) Park Lane.
Alternative Route: (A286) Grayswood Road, (A286) High Street, (B2131) Petworth Road, (B2131) Rodgate Lane, (A283) Petworth Road, (A283) Cherry Tree Roundabout, and (A286) Haslemere Road or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate highways improvement works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible between the hours of 6.30pm and 6.30am, during the 12- month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
