Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cross Lanes (D4007) Guildford as extends from its junction with (X4007) Mathon Court to its junction with (X4007) Glebe Court.

Alternative Route: Cross Lanes, (A3100) London Road, Clandon Road, and Cross Lanes, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate installation and removal of telecom cabinet works for, or on behalf of Touchstone Traffic Solutions. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
