Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 30 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of;

a) Colonels Lane (D3014) Chertsey and;

b) the entire length of Abbey Gardens (D3015) Chertsey.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of new track telecom works for, or on behalf of Freeflow TM. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 September 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

There is no alternative route for this closure.
