Chelsham Road (C77) Warlingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Chelsham Road (C77) Warlingham as extends from its junction with (C77) and (D452) Chelsham Common to its junction with (X35233) Alexandra Avenue.
Alternative Route: (D452) Chelsham Common, Harrow Road, Farleigh Road, Sunny Bank, and Chelsham Road or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate overhead structural works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 6 October 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles, residents, pedestrians, and cyclists will be maintained at all times, via the operatives on site. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.
