Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:

(a) Burnt Hill Road (D5300) Lower Bourne as extends from its junction with (X84052) Upper Bourne Lane and for a distance of 32 metres in a westerly direction along Burnt Hill Road;

(b) Suspend "The Surrey County Council D5300 Burnt Hill Road Wrecclesham Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order No.1 2023" in its entirety;

(c) Suspend "The Surrey County Council D5301 Boundstone Road, D5300 Burnt Hill Road and D5300 Lodge Hill Road Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023" in its entirety;

(d) Suspend "The Surrey County Council D5300 Burnt Hill Road, Wrecclesham Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order No.2 2023" in its entirety;

(e) Suspend "The Surrey County Council D5300 Burnt Hill Road, Wrecclesham Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order No.3" in its entirety.

This Order is required to carry out reinstatement of carriageway works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 08 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure for residents and businesses and will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Alternative Route: Burnt Hill Road, (B3384) Shortheath Road, (A287) Frensham Road, and Burnt Hill Road, or this route in reverse.
