Brambletye Park Road (D1271) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 06 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brambletye Park Road (D1271) Redhill as extends from its junction with (D1271) Knighton Road to its junction with (D1271) Althorne Road.
Alternative Route: Brambletye Park Road, Emlyn Road, St Johns Road, and Brambletye Park Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days between the hours of 8am and 8pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 December 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
