Claremont Landscape Garden

Contour - Surrey Hills Arts

Russell Jakubowski's Contour bench sits at the breath taking viewpoint at Reynard's Hill in the Hurtwood. Russell carried out research into recycled plastic sheets as an environmental, robust alternative to wood. Sixty sheets of the wave like shapes were be bolted together.

Converse - Surrey Hills Arts

Matthew Burt's beautifully crafted benches are placed in an arrangement that allows for social conversation and picnics as well as facing out to the inspiring view at this lesser trodden spot at Holmbury Hill. Made from sweet chestnut, a species which readily grows in the Hurtwood.

English Arts Chorale

Making Matters

A group of artists linked to Farnham and to and by the UCA in Farnham. We have produced a community project during Coronavirus, "A Fishy Tail of Farnham" and have done 4 pop up shops featuring 40 local artists from the surrounding area. We are preparing for a second installation and two popup shops.

Mole Valley Poets

We are a mutually supportive group of enthusiastic poets who are committed to improving our writing skills and taking poetry into the local community. We have been meeting to encourage each other and share our work since 1999 and became a stanza group of the Poetry Society in 2011.

Molesey Art Society

A community art society to promote participation in the visual arts and crafts. Established in 1959 and with approximately 180 members. Demonstrations, workshops and exhibitions take place at St Alban's Primary School in East Molesey.

Museum of Farnham

The museum was founded in 1961 to provide the Farnham community with a collection dedicated to the history of the local area. The elegant Grade I listed Georgian townhouse retains many original features, including a beautiful walled garden perfect for picnics.

Museum of Military Medicine

The museum tells the story of army medicine and healthcare, human and animal, from the English Civil War to the current day, as Army Medical Services personnel continue to serve across the globe as part of the British Army.


National Trust - Surrey Hills

National Trust Winkworth Arboretum

Winkworth is the National Trust's only arboretum with horticultural highlights each season from bluebells in spring to autumn colour. Home to around 6,000 trees of more than 1,000 different species, there's plenty of space to explore with the family, dogs are welcome too. Cafe and toilets on site.

National Trust, River Wey Navigations

The Wey Navigation was built in 1653, 100 years before the Canal Age in Britain. It runs 15.5 miles from Guildford to the Thames at Weybridge and enabled merchants and farmers to reach the London markets more quickly and cheaply than using the roads. In 1764, the waterway was extended to Godalming.

New Adventures

New Adventures a dance theatre company which offers a range of opportunities for schools, communities and individuals of all ages and abilities to engage with dance. We run regular Over 55's dance classes at The Maltings in Farnham alongside many other workshops, residencies and projects.

New Ashgate Gallery

New House Art Space and Gallery

New House was earmarked for demolition. But in late 2021 the team behind The Boileroom Music and Art Studios took on the building. During the next few months the building was refurbished to accommodate 20 artist studios as well as a new foyer, reception, gallery, and an exhibition/workshop space.

North Weald Art Group

Oatlands Singers

We are a small SATB chamber choir based in Weybridge. Founded in 1963 as the A Cappella Singers, we changed our name in 2020 to reflect the fact that our home base is St Mary Oatlands church hall, where we rehearse on term time Tuesday evenings. Concerts are generally given three times a year.

Optohedron - Surrey Hills Arts

The Optohedron by Will Nash, is part of the Surrey Hills Arts Inspiring Views programme that reveals lost views, engages those who do not normally access the countryside and includes a conservation project. The Optohedron can be found on the North Downs Way near to Newlands Corner in Surrey.

Peer Productions is an award-winning youth arts charity. We specialise in combining high quality arts practice and learning with peer education. Each year, we tour our original productions to schools across the South East of England, performing engaging plays which support the PSHE curriculum.

Perspectives - Surrey Hills Arts

Giles Miller's 'Perspectives' is nestled within the woods with a clear view over the South Downs providing shelter and a space for focused contemplation. He has designed a shelter of wooden shingles engraved with words and messages from which to sit and look out on the beautiful view from Winterfold.

Pirbright Art Club

A thriving local art group run by tutor Maggie Read. There are two groups each meeting once a month: Leisure artists and exhibiting artists. We hold our major annual exhibition on the first weekend of December, as well as an outdoor exhibition on the last Saturday of July.

The Print Room

The Print Room is a print studio located on a farm nestling in delightful countryside on Russ Hill, Surrey. It has been set up by local artist and illustrator Mai Osawa who offers workshops in the printmaking techniques such as dry point, etching, collagraph, linocut, woodcut and screen printing.

The Sculpture Park

The Sunbury Embroidery Gallery

Walton Voices is a non-audition mixed community choir performing a variety of music from modern to traditional. Wholenotes Community Choirs are for those with social anxiety, a learning disability and/or autism. The choirs rehearse at Guildford United Reformed Church between 1.30pm to 2.30pm and Camberley Theatre between 7.15pm to 8.15pm on Tuesday's term time only.

Woking Wind Orchestra (Surrey Arts)

Woking Wind Orchestra is a community wind band for adults, supported by Surrey Arts. They rehearse on Mondays during term time, 8pm until 10pm, and welcome members with a love of playing any woodwind, brass or percussion instrument and with approximately Grade 7 standard and above.

World Jazz Collective

World Jazz Collective provides training and participation for aspiring jazz musicians of a reasonable standard who can read music. Music styles include jazz, funk, swing, Latin and world music, band rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings in Christ Church, Virginia Water.


Xylem - Surrey Hills Arts

Xylem bench sits at an accessible view point at the National Trust location of Gibbets Hill, Hindhead. Walter Bailey explores charcoal, its historical relevance to the Greensand Way and how this material has supported individuals and industries enabling the shaping of copper, bronze, glass and iron.
