Surrey Heath parking review 2020 to 2021

There are a number of stages involved in the review, these are shown below. Due to the number of stages in the review, it takes about one year to complete a parking review from start to finish.

Introduction

The 2020-21 parking review took place over January 2021, and was presented to Surrey Heath local committee in February 2021.

Committee authorisation

The 2020-21 parking review was presented to Surrey Heath local committee on 25 February 2021. All proposals were agreed for advertisement, along with further double yellow lines on Benner Lane, West End, which were agreed at the meeting.

The agreed parking proposals were advertised from 12 May to 9 June 2021. This included the publishing of a formal notice in a local newspaper; street notices being erected on site at each location; plus drawings and a statement of reasons being available to view online at the bottom of this page. Those properties immediately fronting locations where changes are proposed were notified individually by letter.

Approval

All objections, support and comment responses have been compiled into a 'Decision report', which includes a decision on how to proceed at each location. Members have agreed this report, and it is available to download and view at the bottom of this page. Those who responded to the advertisement have been notified of the decisions by email or by letter.

Implementation

We have ordered the lining and signing work for this review, which is due to be installed on the ground during March and April 2022.
