Archaeology UK - A fantastic resource covering the positions of over 85,000 archaeological sites with map details and aerial photographs.

Council for British Archaeology - This website is a good point of call for all things relating to British Archaeology. It contains a wealth of information including some useful factsheets.

Current Archaeology - Current Archaeology is a popular magazine. The website is in the same vein and contains plenty of useful information.

Institute of Field Archaeologists (IFA) are the professional organisation for archaeologists.

Surrey Archaeological Society - exists to protect, interpret and record all aspects of the history and archaeology of Surrey and is a very good place to start if you are interested in the archaeology and history of the county.

Surrey History Centre - based in Woking and houses the archive and local studies material for the county.

Surrey Museums Consultative Committee (SMCC) are an advisory body for all the museums of Surrey. Their website contains a wealth of information about the museums of Surrey and serves as a useful portal to those museums.

The Hampshire and Wight Trust for Maritime Archaeology - The Hampshire and Wight Trust promote interest in, research and knowledge of maritime archaeology and heritage. They are proactive in disseminating the information they gather through an extensive educational and outreach programme.
