Multi Agency Information Sharing Protocol (MAISP) Tier 1
MAISP Tier 1 States the overarching requirements that organisations are expected to meet as a minimum to be able to legally share personal data. Check that you can fulfil the requirements in the MAISP before completing the online signatory form.
Surrey MAISP online signatory form
Schools and education settings should sign up via the Surrey Education Services information sharing page.
How to sign up: Have the person in your organisation who has the authority to commit to the requirements in the MAISP Tier 1 complete the online signatory form. Following sign up your organisation's name will be published on the Surrey MAISP signatories webpage.
Withdrawal from the MAISP Tier 1
Any organisation can withdraw from the MAISP Tier 1 in writing, via email to the Surrey MAISP Action Group giving at least four weeks' notice. Email: surreymaisp@surreycc.gov.uk
All information that has been shared or gathered under the protocol will either be securely destroyed or will continue to be held in accordance with the protocol agreement they were collected under.
MAISP Tier 2
MAISP Tier 2 protocols outline the requirements that organisations are expected to meet as a minimum to be able to legally share personal information for sector specific purposes, such as crime and disorder, health, social care, education. Check that you can fulfil the requirements in the relevant MAISP Tier 2 protocol before completing the online signatory form.

How to sign up: Have the person in your organisation who has the authority to commit to the requirements in the MAISP Tier 2 protocol complete the online signatory form. Following sign up your organisation's name will be published on the Surrey MAISP signatories webpage.
Signatories to a MAISP Tier 2 protocol are automatically included as a signatory to the MAISP Tier 1.
Withdrawal from the MAISP Tier 2
To remove themselves from a MAISP Tier 2 protocol organisations should follow the withdrawal process for each individual protocol. Organisations must also inform the Surrey MAISP Action Group in writing, giving at least four weeks' notice. Email: surreymaisp@surreycc.gov.uk
