This privacy notice applies to the functions of the communications service that incorporates and carries out communications functions for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).

What processing of personal data is undertaken by the service?
Your personal data is being processed for the purpose of the competition and awarding of prizes.
Entrants' data will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering and assessing competitions.
Data will be taken to draw a winner. Once the winner is chosen, we use their personal data to send them their prize.
What Information do we collect?
- The name that is associated with an entrant’s social media account.
- The name, email and full address for the prize winner.
Competition winners will be contacted via social media.
How we are allowed to use your personal data
Consent
To process your personal data, we will explain to you what we are asking you to agree to and why. If we have consent to use your personal data, you may have the right to remove it at any time. If you want to remove your consent, please contact us at the following email address contactfire@surreycc.gov.uk and we will deal with your request.
Who we share your personal data with
The data will be shared with the SFRS crew that will be handing over the prize to the winner. This will be the local fire station to the prize winner.
Retention of data
For a period of one month and six months for unsuccessful and successful prize winners respectively.
