Helping you find the best way to make your complaint
Tell us about a highways issue
Please use our online highways reporting system to report the all highways issues, including the following:
- potholes
- flooding and drains
- manhole covers
- trees and vegetation
- pavements and kerbs
If you are unable to submit an report online, you can contact us.
Tracking reported highways issues
If your reported highways issue has not yet been fixed, please be aware that unless the issue is a risk to public safety, it will be fixed as part of our routine maintenance programme and it cannot be dealt with any quicker.

Borough and district responsibilities
You will need to contact your local borough or district council about the following highway issues:
- household waste and bin collection
- dog fouling
- litter or street cleaning
- fly tipping

What happens next
We aim to respond to your complaint within 10 working days of receipt. If your complaint takes longer, we will keep you informed of the progress. Please see our complaints procedure for more information.
