Our plan for waste management

The Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy

This is our strategy to manage waste across the county. It sets targets for recycling, reducing and managing waste in the most sustainable and cost-effective way.

The strategy is managed by the Surrey Waste Partnership which is made up of:

  • The 11 borough and district councils who are responsible for collecting household waste.
  • Surrey County Council who is responsible for disposing of this waste.

You can view or download a copy of the current strategy document on the Surrey Waste Partnership site.
