Purpose / function of the service

This privacy notice applies to the functions of the Scrutiny Service, which is in Democratic Services, that incorporates/carries out scrutiny and overview functions within Surrey County Council.

What processing of personal data is undertaken by the specific team or service?

Your personal data is collated for the purposes of analysis in order to carry out a questionnaire seeking information on the needs of, and support for, young people who are in care or have been in care.

What information do we collect?

  • Email addresses where provided
  • Anonymised personal data unless respondent has opted to identify themselves

How we are allowed to use your personal data

Legislation

Sections 9F to 9FI of the Local Government Act 2000 as amended by the Localism Act 2011

Consent

To process your personal data, we will explain to you what we are asking you to agree to and why. If we have consent to use your personal data, you have the right to remove it at any time. If you want to remove your consent, please contact us at the following email address: democraticservices@surreycc.gov.uk and we will deal with your request.

Who we share your personal data with?

We will only share your email address where provided with the Democratic Services Team for the purpose of contacting you in relation to your submissions.

Retention of data

Personal data will be retained for 3 months except where reproduced in the Task Group's report at the agreement of the data owner.
