Purpose / function of the service
This privacy notice applies to the functions of National Trading Standards Scams Team - Scams Marshal that carries out public task functions within SCC.
What processing of personal data is undertaken by the specific teams or services
Your personal data is collated for the purposes of sending out information regarding the Scam Marshal scheme to subscribers who have opted in to receive the information. You will be sent a monthly newsletter about the scheme and will be contacted from time to time about your activities as a Scam Marshal.

How we are allowed to use your personal data
To process your personal data, we will explain to you what we are asking you to agree to and why. If we have consent to use your personal data, you have the right to remove it at any time. If you want to remove your consent, please contact us at the following email address FriendsAgainstScams@surreycc.gov.uk and we will deal with your request.

Your personal data (Name and Address) may be shared with international law enforcement partners when the mail you send in to the team is used as evidence in international investigations.

We do not use automated decision making.

Your personal data may be processed outside of the UK and EU for law enforcement purposes.

Data will be retained for as long as consent remains valid.
