Terms of Reference

What is the Learning Disability Partnership Board in Surrey?

A group of people standing together, with some giving a thumbs‑up gesture.

The board is a group of people who work together to make the lives of people with a learning disability in Surrey better.

Aims of the Partnership Board

Make sure that there are the right services for people and that they work well.

Who will be members of the Partnership Board?

It is important that all key people who can make change happen are members of the partnership board.

This includes:

How will the Partnership Board run?

There will be 6 meetings a year.

Format of the meeting

They must be sent to the Engagement and Partnership Office 12 days before the meeting.

If you want something to be talked about at the meeting, contact the Engagement and Partnership Officer who will talk to the chairs.

Responsibilities of Members of the Board

Each member that represents a group must share information with them and the Board.

Election of Members

The co-chair with a learning disability will be elected every 2 years.

The chair and Engagement and Partnership Officer will look at membership every 2 years to make sure the right people are represented.

People needed for the meeting to go ahead

Work Plan

Managing the agenda

The Engagement and Partnership Officer will set the agenda from the work plan.

Supporting people with a learning disability

People with a learning disability will be helped at the meeting by:
