Council tax 2017–18

Surrey County Council has set a budget for 2017-18 funded by council tax of £656.8 million to help meet the cost of increasing pressures on adult social care. This means there will be a 4.99% increase in council tax to protect vital services following significant cuts in Government funding and an ongoing increase in demand for services. It’s made up of a 1.99% general council tax rise and a 3% increase specifically for adult social care.
