The types of waste below can be taken to all Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) in Surrey. However, please check the pages for individual CRCs as some accept additional types of waste.

- Carpet
- Clay flowerpots
- CDs, Books and DVDs
- Clothes and textiles
- Cooking oil
- Crockery
- Empty aerosols (dispose of with cans)
- Engine oil (maximum of two five-litre containers per visit)
- Fluorescent tubes
- Foil (dispose of with metal)
- Full or partially-full aerosols (ask a member of staff where to dispose of them)
- Furniture (note: fitted furniture cannot be taken to any of Surrey's CRCs in a van)
- Garden ornaments
- Garden waste
- Gas bottles
- Glasses (spectacles)
- Hard plastics
- Household batteries
- Household and garden chemicals (dispose of with hazardous waste)
- Large electrical items including home appliances such as dishwashers, fridges and freezers
- Mattresses
- Metal (Ferrous/Non-ferrous)
- Mobile phones
- Small electrical items
- Paint (water-based/emulsion only)
- Paper and card
- Printer cartridges
- TVs and monitors
- Vapes
- Water filters
- Wood and timber (note: wooden fence posts and panels, garden structures, pergolas and sheds cannot be taken to any of Surrey's CRCs in a van)
