Wednesday 29th September, 5.30pm to 7pm
Join this event to hear from Dr. Adrian Hayter, National Clinical Director for Older People and Integrated Person-Centred Care, about enhanced health in care homes. You will also hear from PCN colleagues about how it has benefitted patients.
Wednesday 29th September 3pm to 4.30pm
The role of the nurse working in social care is a highly skilled one, requiring an in-depth knowledge of long-term conditions. Nurses working in care homes may at times be the only qualified person on a shift, managing complex nursing care and having supervision responsibilities for staff, as well as overseeing the general facilities and running of the home. Nurses working in home care equally have a huge amount of responsibility often making difficult clinical decisions in lone working situations.
You do an amazing job and never more so than during the pandemic. You should therefore be proud to say that you are social care nurses providing nursing care that not only improves quality of life, but prevents deterioration and, when the time comes, supports people at the end of life.
We are therefore keen to provide support for you through a "Nurses in Social Care Network" covering Surrey & Sussex.
During this first session we can identity what would be useful to you and how to further develop the network.
Wednesday 6th October 10.30 am to 12.30pm
NHSX is currently developing it's offer to social care providers, to ensure easy access to digital health and care information.
As part of this work, they are holding an engagement event on 6th October between 10.30am and 12.30pm to highlight and seek feedback on existing systems (including GP connect, Proxy Access, Data Security & Protection Toolkit).
They are keen to ensure as many care providers, CCGs and system suppliers are able to participate.
