Spelthorne Network

The Spelthorne Network is a strategic partnership of six secondary schools and three colleges working collaboratively to meet the learning needs of young people in Spelthorne by developing a broad, inclusive and vocationally relevant curriculum framework.



The principal objectives are:

  • to ensure that learners have access to a wide choice of high quality learning programmes with improved access to vocational education and training;
  • to provide high quality teaching and learning by sharing good practice and collaborating on staff training and development;
  • to establish an extranet system which links members of the Network, providing online learning, resources and guidance;
  • to develop activities and projects to enhance curriculum provision;
  • to increase participation in education and training for young people in Spelthorne.

Steering Group

The steering group consists of:

  • The headteacher or principal of each of the institutions
  • 14-19 Network Coordinator
  • Director of Learning LSC (or representative)
  • Consultant 14-19 Education, Four S
