The attached guide for parents and carers has been produced to provide parents, carers, volunteers and young people with information regarding the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and how we operate it.
In all cases when a young person applies to register with Surrey County Council for their Duke of Edinburgh's Award, the guide will accompany the registration form.
Please note, however, that from September 2016, Surrey County Council will only register young people who attend a county SEN school, who are over age 16 and are not in education, employment or training, or are under the care of Surrey Family Services at the point of registration.
If your young person attends a mainstream school or college, or is otherwise in employment or training, please contact the: National DofE office, for further information.
If you require further information please contact the office: firstname.lastname@example.org
