National Safeguarding Adults Week took place 21 to 27 November 2022
It was a week for everyone to come together to raise awareness of important safeguarding issues and to support people to feel confident in recognising signs of possible abuse and neglect and reporting safeguarding concerns. This year the theme was 'responding to contemporary safeguarding challenges' focussing on the newer abuse risks in today's society. This includes how technology can enable and empower domestic abusers, self-neglect, elder abuse and County Lines.
