Community Outreach in adult learning

Page contents

Community Outreach courses provide free learning opportunities to help adults who are unemployed or have difficulty accessing learning to navigate towards a brighter future.

Any of our free Community Outreach courses are open to people who face life challenges that are impacting their every day, such as homelessness, unemployment and those on low incomes and income support.

There are Mind, Body and Soul classes to provide life balance, and we've tailored employability courses depending on whether you are newly unemployed or have been out of work for more than 12 months.

Attending a course with others will help increase confidence, build knowledge and skills and provide an enjoyable learning experience.

Courses are free to adults aged 19 and above on the start date of the course (subject to eligibility) and are not dependent on a Surrey address as all courses are currently running online. We welcome people from London boroughs in particular as some of our funding comes from the GLA.

Mind, Body and Soul

We have devised a programme called Mind, Body and Soul which provides 3-week sessions across a range of topics to encourage people to look after themselves and support positive wellbeing.

Topics include managing stress and learning calming techniques, relaxation through Tai Chi, creativity through art and healthy cookery on a budget.

This series of courses will help with job searching, identifying your skills and applying for jobs. It also includes Money Matters courses which will help you with budget management and making good financial decisions.
