Supported learning presentation afternoon

On 21 October 2016 Surrey Adult Learning (SAL) celebrated with thirty-two of its Learners on the Supported Learning programme for adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities who had achieved a nationally recognised qualification with us in July last year.

Most Learners had spent two years working towards their independent living award and they proudly received their certificates from Principal, Paul Hoffman, while family, friends, Tutors, Supported Learning Assistants, volunteers, members of the SAL senior management and the Supported Learning Curriculum Team looked on.

After the formal presentation everyone was able to relax and enjoy afternoon tea with cakes baked by Julie (from Woking Centre’s Café) and Carol (from Molesey Centre’s Café). Unfortunately not everyone who had achieved a qualification could be with us on the afternoon but the certificates have since been posted to those who were not able to attend.
