Experiencing hearing loss? Our course can help you cope

For anyone having even slight problems with their hearing it is incredibly useful to learn how to cope in a noisy hearing world.

Surrey Adult Learning provides courses to help people manage hearing loss. Learners gain confidence, share experiences, learn and practise lip-reading skills with other people who understand what it is like to live with hearing loss.

Learners on current courses tell us:

  • “Lip-reading classes ... have been a lifeline in coming to terms with my hearing loss.”
  • "Before I attended ... classes I was not aware of the amount of HELP available ... the support at the classes is very encouraging and full of helpful information.”
  • “We all understand each other, we give each other confidence to say things, even if they are wrong.”
