Additional Learning Support in Surrey

We are committed to extending our learning opportunities and facilities to all our learners.
We can offer reasonable additional learning support for people who need help to achieve their learning aims due to a disability, health problem or learning need. We may for example be able to help support you learn and achieve on your chosen course by providing:

  • Learning materials that suit your needs, for example, large print handouts
  • Physical support to access our buildings and facilities
  • Support equipment, for example, a Conversor, perching stool
  • A helper to support you in class
  • Someone to interpret, read or sign for you
  • Face to face discussion about possible formal Access Arrangements on courses leading to a qualification
  • Financial support

If you think you may need help, it is important that you tell us about your support needs as soon as possible either:

  • At the Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) session if you wish to enrol on a course leading to a qualification
  • At enrolment if your chosen course does not have a separate IAG session
  • By speaking to your tutor at the start of your course
  • By contacting one of the Supported Learning curriculum team direct if you wish to speak to someone in confidence

If the course that you would like to attend is not accessible, we will help you to find an alternative.
